Communication is really important. We produce leaflets and posters to encourage people to come to meditation classes and other events, and we also use this website, Facebook and Twitter.
We’re constantly trying to improve what we do and to get the Kagyu Buddhism message to more people. A new communication and marketing strategy has been adopted by the co-ordinators to promote Kagyu Dechen Buddhism North West. A publicity group (currently Jonathan, Simon, Gill and Clare) has been set up to take forward this work.
One of the first steps is to review the branding. The aim is to make sure that all our publicity material has a consistent, professional, high-quality look and feel – so that as soon as someone sees it, they know it’s from us.
Now the north west sangha are being asked to help take this work forward by giving their views. Please take a look through the draft guidelines below that we’re considering adopting, and send any comments or questions to the new publicity group via email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send in your comments no later than 15 January 2019.
Also, if anyone feels they would like to get involved in publicity activity, please let us know. We’d love to have more people helping develop leaflets and posters, write content for the website, produce the monthly newsletter and keep our facebook page active.
