In September 2018 Terry Donlan, one of our community members, spent the day with teachers from the Elms Bank Arts College in Prestwich. The school was holding a health and wellbeing day for its staff before term started and many were keen to try meditation.
Terry ran a series of ‘calm abiding’ meditation sessions throughout the day. These were attended by 50 people – most of whom had not tried it before. This type of meditation is very accessible for beginners and can easily be practised alone at home.
Feedback from the session was very positive, with several people expressing an interest in coming along to future classes in North Manchester and the organisers commenting how relaxing everyone had found it.
If you’d like us to run sessions at your events or to bring a school or community group for a session at our Centre, please email our co-ordinators.
