In the weekly practice schedule at Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre, we perform regular prayers and meditation practices (pujas), and dedicate the merit for the benefit of all beings.
Requesting a dedication
If you would like us to make a particular dedication for someone such as a family member or friend, please contact us.
Dedications are traditionally made for the deceased and dying, for people who are ill, for overcoming obstacles or supporting long life.
Making an offering
It is customary to make an offering to the centre when requesting a dedication. Offerings will be used to support the running of Kagyu Ling and its programme of activities. You can make a donation online or you can make an offering in person at the Centre – please contact us if you’d prefer to do this.
Everyone is welcome to sponsor these prayers and pujas. You do not need to be a Buddhist to request a dedication – we welcome requests from the local community and beyond.
To take part in pujas (Vajrayana practices) one needs to have received initiation and instruction from a qualified Buddhist teacher, but it may be possible for you to attend all or part of a puja that you sponsor. Please talk to a member of Kagyu Ling’s administration team to ask about this.
