Lama Jampa Thaye gave a textual teaching in London on Saturday 11 November 2017. The event was hosted by Sakya Dechen Ling and held at the London Wetlands Centre in Barnes.
Lama Jampa taught “The Eight Dreamlike Experiences of the Dharma” by the Sakya master Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen.
The teaching was composed in the 12th century by the Sakya master Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen, the third of the five founding masters of the Sakya tradition. Drakpa Gyaltsen was noted for giving short teachings expressing important points. The eight points covered in this text dealt with topics such as the importance finding a space in our lives to meditate and study, letting go of attachment, turning away from disputes and diversions that might harm our practice and the correct understanding of the experiences of bliss and emptiness that occur in meditation.
