Kagyu Ling is Manchester’s oldest Buddhist centre. For over 40 years it has provided people with a place and opportunity for meditation in Manchester, to learn about meditation and explore the teachings of the Buddha.
Meditation in Manchester
You are welcome to come to any of the meditation classes at Kagyu Ling. Classes are held throughout the week – see below for a full list. No experience is necessary and there is no need to book – you can just turn up. All our classes are led by experienced practitioners and give you a chance to learn and practise simple calmness meditation.
The sessions last for just under an hour and there is time before and afterwards for a chat and a chance to ask questions over tea and coffee in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Based on Lama Jampa Thaye’s book Diamond Sky, the course is led by long-time students of Lama Jampa, Geoffrey Ashmore and Jonathan Macaskill. You are welcome to attend all or part of the course. There is no need to book – just come along.
