Opening the heart: meditation course in north Manchester
A new meditation course starts this month in Prestwich, exploring how we can develop compassion and loving kindness in order to transform our lives.
If you want to try a guided meditation course, why not give it a go? You don’t need to have any experience of Buddhism to take part, and there’s no need to book a place in advance.
Opening the heart
The series of six talks, which runs from 21 June, will explore how, by developing loving kindness and compassion, we can transform our lives. Through overcoming our normal, self-centred concern, we create the space for wisdom and compassion to flourish.
Each session will include a guided meditation giving a practical introduction to developing these qualities.
The course is organised by Prestwich Buddhist Meditation group, which is affiliated to Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre, Manchester. The sessions will be led by Jonathan Macaskill (pictured).
When: 7.30pm on 21 June; 28 June; 5 July; 12 July; 19 July and 26 July 2017.
