Record breaking attendance

We’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the friends and neighbours who came along to Kagyu Ling’s annual garden party in July.  The sun didn’t come out for most of the afternoon but we still had the biggest attendance in the ten years since we began opening up our building and gardens to the public.

Around 250 people came along to listen to live music, browse craft stalls and enjoy home made refreshments in our lovely garden.  We’d sold out of cakes before 4 o’clock!  The crowd was entertained by a range of local musicians, including the South Manchester ‘Open Voice’ choir, which is becoming a feature of our events.  We were also fortunate to have several professional musicians donate their time to entertain us.

Thanks to our visitors for buying raffle tickets, white elephants, plants and crafts to help us raise almost £2000 towards the upkeep of our historic building.  We really appreciate everyone’s kindness and hope you enjoyed the afternoon.  If you couldn’t make it but would like to have a look around the Centre, come along to one of our meditation classes.  Or look out for adverts for next year’s garden party!
