Buddhist teaching in Manchester by Lama Jampa
Lama Jampa Thaye will visit Manchester on 1 and 2 July 2023 to teach the second part of Situ Dharmakara’s Commentary on the Mahamudra Aspiration Prayer composed by the 3rd Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje.
This commentary provides a profound explanation of Mahamudra meditation and a defence of the special precepts preserved in the Kagyu tradition.
The teaching will take place on Saturday 1 July from 10.30 am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm and on Sunday 2 July from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
On the afternoon of 2 July, Lama Jampa will bestow the initiation of White Dzambala.
Anyone with a serious interest in Buddhism is welcome to attend the teaching but the initiation is only open to those who have made a formal commitment to Buddhism by taking refuge. If you wish to arrange to take refuge, please contact us in advance. Email manchester@dechen.org
