Celebrate Buddha Day
Saturday 27 February 2021 marks the end of the 15 days of Chotrul Duchen, when Shakyamuni Buddha used miraculous powers to subdue six contemporary spiritual teachers (tirthikas) and to inspire faith in his own followers.
Kagyu Ling celebrates this and the other three Buddha Days each year by reciting the Praise of the Twelve Deeds of Lord Buddha and performing the ritual practice of the Sixteen Arhats (his realised disciples).
It is said that the merit from dharma practice done on Buddha Days is multiplied many millions of times.
This recitation will be held online at 10.30 am on 27 February.
Anyone is welcome to sit in on the session, although it is necessary to have received initiation and instruction from a qualified Buddhist teacher to participate in the practice.
