Christmas closures and year-end retreat at Kagyu Ling
Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre’s annual Chenrezik retreat will be held from 28 to 30 December 2023, and some meditation classes will be cancelled during the holiday period while the centre is closed.
Meditation classes at Kagyu Ling will close on Wednesday 27 and Friday 29 December, and there will be no mind-training session on Thursday 28 December.
Meditation classes run by the regional groups are also taking a break over the holiday period. Please check What’s On to find out what is available.
The Chenrezik retreat is a non-residential event and there are four sessions each day on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 December: 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm.
The retreat is open to anyone with a serious interest in Buddhism, whether or not you have taken refuge. Explanations of the practice will be given during the 11am session each day so these sessions are particularly suitable for people new to the practice.
People are welcome to drop in for one or more sessions or stay all day. The retreat will also be available online on the usual Chenrezik puja link to enable people to take part even if they cannot make it to the Centre.
Light refreshments will be provided at Kagyu Ling during breaks but people planning to stay all day should bring their own lunch. The cost will be £10 per day or £3 per session. Anyone who would like to sponsor the retreat is welcome to do so: sponsor the 2023 retreat.
