Colne Buddhist meditationMeditation classes in Colne

Meditation classes resume from Wednesday 5 May 2021 at Primet Community Centre, Colne, from 8.00pm to 9.00pm.

You are welcome to our weekly classes, where you can learn simple calmness meditation. In addition, we explore some of the Buddhist teachings, which have timeless significance for our modern western lives.

No experience is necessary. And there is no need to book – just come along. The sessions are open to all, and attract residents from Colne and other parts of East Lancashire. Suggested contribution: £3.

Venue:  Primet Community Centre,  Primet Hill,  Colne,  BB8 9NF.

Social distancing

Social distancing measures must be followed at each session. Hand sanitisers will be available on entry. Face coverings are currently required to be worn on entering and at all times while moving around. As the seating will be arranged to be 2m apart, you will not be required to wear a face covering once you are seated.

Online meditation

If you aren’t able to join a meditation class in person, there are regular online sessions, via Zoom.

These online meditation classes are open to all and there is no charge. Each session gives an explanation of a simple calming meditation practice. After that there is a brief talk on a key aspect of the Buddha’s teachings.

Visit What’s On for all times of all the meditation classes – online and in person – and Zoom links.
