Colne Buddhist meditationMeditation classes in Colne

Please note that from Monday 15 July to Wednesday 24 July 2024 all normal activity – classes, groups and pujas – will be suspended at Kagyu Ling and across the North West, to enable attention to be focused on the visit of His Holiness Karmapa.  Classes and pujas etc. resume on Thursday 25 July.

Meditation classes take place each Wednesday at Primet Community Centre, Colne, from 8pm to 9pm.

You are welcome to our weekly classes, where you can learn simple calmness meditation. In addition, we explore some of the Buddhist teachings, which have timeless significance for our modern western lives.

No experience is necessary and there is no need to book – just come along. The sessions are open to all, and attract residents from Colne and other parts of East Lancashire. Suggested contribution: £3.

Venue:  Primet Community Centre,  Primet Hill,  Colne,  BB8 9NF.

Online meditation

If you aren’t able to join a meditation class in person, there are regular online sessions via Zoom.

These online meditation classes are open to all and there is no charge. Each session gives an explanation of a simple calming meditation practice. After that there is a brief talk on a key aspect of the Buddha’s teachings.
