Online meditation classes
Why not try online meditation? While Buddhist meditation classes in New Brighton are currently suspended, you can join online Meditation Zones. These are every regularly via Zoom. These are open sessions, and all are welcome.
First, each session gives an explanation of a simple calming meditation practice. After that there is a brief talk on a key aspect of the Buddha’s teachings.

Meditation in New Brighton
Due to the coronavirus situation, Buddhist meditation classes in New Brighton are suspended until further notice. But below is some information about our usual sessions. We’ll update this page when classes resume.
The New Brighton meditation group usually meets every Friday from 11am to 12.15pm, and all are welcome. The sessions offer a chance to learn and practise meditation. There is a short explanation of some of the essential Buddhist teachings, with their timeless relevance to our own lives today. Afterwards there is time for questions, discussion and refreshments. All are welcome to attend, whether you’re a beginner or have some experience of meditation or Buddhism. There is no need to book – just come along.

More meditation classes
We have groups across the north west including Cheshire and Lancashire. In addition to the New Brighton group, there is another group in the Wirral in Birkenhead, along with groups in Chester, Liverpool, Colne, Wigan, Poulton-le-Fylde, Prestwich and Central Manchester. Usually all the groups hold weekly classes, at which newcomers are welcome, but due to coronavirus many are currently suspended. Check each group’s page for more information.
