Lama Jampa Thaye visits Manchester on 9 and 10 July 2022 to give the ninth instalment of his teaching of the Jewel Ornament of Liberation, the key manual of study and practice in the Kagyu tradition of Buddhism.

The Jewel Ornament gives a complete explanation of the Buddhist path and is relevant to anyone who has a serious interest in Buddhism.

The teaching will be held at The Studio, Lever Street, Manchester.

Teaching and initiation

On Saturday 9 July the teaching runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and on
Sunday 10 July from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

On Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm to 4.30pm Lama Jampa will give the initiation of Sanjay Menla –  Medicine Buddha – one of the beloved deities of Buddhism.

Please note that while the teaching is open to all, the initiation is only open to those who have made a formal commitment to Buddhism through taking refuge. Anyone who wishes to take refuge should email the co-ordinators of Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre, which is organising the event.

Tickets

A two-day ticket costs £60, and one-day tickets are £30. There is no charge for under-18s. Concessions are available. Tickets must be booked online using the link below:

Refreshments will be available as usual at The Studio. Wristbands for unlimited hot drinks are £5 per day; lunch is £6 per day (£8 with pudding); drinks plus lunch (including pudding) is £10 per day. Please note that the Studio will only accept card payments.
