Meditation classes – plus ‘Way of Tibetan Buddhism’

Meditation classes at Kagyu Ling resume from 2 December 2020.

Wednesday: 10.30am to 11.30am.
Wednesday: 8pm to 9pm.
Friday: 8pm to 9pm.

Newcomers are welcome and there is no need to book in advance. You’ll learn a simple meditation technique that you can then practise yourself at home.

The Way of Tibetan Buddhism

If you’d like to know more about meditation and Buddhism, there’s a new series of online sessions starting on 8 December 2020.

Based on the book ‘The Way of Tibetan Buddhism’ by Lama Jampa Thaye, the sessions run every Tuesday from 8 December, from 9.45am to 11am,  for nine weeks, using zoom.

Each session starts with calm-abiding meditation. You’ll be given guidance on how to sit and settle the mind.  After that, there will be an audio section of Lama Jampa teaching one of the themes from ‘The Way of Tibetan Buddhism.’ There will then be time for reflection and discussion before another short period of meditation.

These sessions are hosted by Fylde Buddhist Meditation Group. For more details, check out the Fylde group page. All are welcome, and of course you don’t need to be in Fylde to take part!

Learn how to meditate

You don’t need any experience to join the meditation classes, either on zoom or at Kagyu Ling.

All are welcome, whether you’ve got some experience of meditation or Buddhism, or none at all. All the sessions give you a chance to learn and practise simple calmness meditation. In addition, we explore some key aspects of Buddhist teachings.

Contributions

If you choose to join our online classes,  we’d really appreciate you considering whether you can make a donation, as you would if you were attending the session in person. You can donate online.
