The skies smiled
Saturday 24 July saw the welcome return of the annual Kagyu Ling Garden Party after last year’s break from tradition. Despite storm forecasts the rain held off and there was even some sunshine.
The focus this year was very much on welcoming sangha members and their friends and families back into the garden – most for the first time in two years. The party was shorter and deliberately less crowded than in previous years but there was still music, cake and beautiful flowers, which have always been the core of this lovely afternoon with friends.
Hopefully, the return of the Garden Party represents the start of a return to ‘normal’ for Kagyu Ling and that other social events will be possible later in the year. Watch this space. And remember that praying for sunshine does work!
