Lama Jampa Thaye visits Manchester on 19th and 20th of September 2026 to continue teaching “The Supreme Continuity” (Gyud Lama).
This foundational text of Kagyu philosophy is a profound introduction to the true nature of our minds.
On Saturday the teaching runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm. On Sunday it is from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
On Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm to 4.30pm Lama Jampa will bestow the initiation of Shakyamuni Buddha and the Sixteen Sthavira (Arahats) the great disciples entrusted by Buddha Shakyamuni with preserving and protecting his teachings in the world. This rare empowerment comes from the lineage of Atisha and is closely connected with the traditional Sixteen Sthaviras puja practised on the four major Buddhist holy days.
Refuge and the bodhisattva vow will be given to everyone during the preliminary part of the initiation.
